The Red Hot Chili Peppers’ first performance was to a crowd of approximately thirty people at the Rhythm Lounge in Hollywood on February 13th, 1983.
They “wrote” for the occasion, which involved the band improvising music while Anthony Kiedis rapped a poem he had written called “Out in L.A.”
