"I don’t like it when the drums are real separate sounding. I like it when it sounds like a kit. A drum kit means there’s more than one piece. I want it to sound real natural and I work with people who are like-minded." - Chad Smith

Former Guns N’ Roses drummer, Steven Adler talks to Rolling Stone Magazine about meeting Flea and Anthony Kiedis at the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on April 14th, 2012…"Anthony’s wonderful, I’ve known him for decades, he’s great. Flea is the greatest, it was so great, the way he mentioned me, and he mentioned my grandmother. He used to practice his trumpet for my grandmother, we used to play football in the street, and he’d come home from school and have his trumpet and practice for my grandmother. He mentioned it, and that was so great. That and he sent me a text saying the coolest thing that a rhythm brother could say to another rhythm brother, he said, "Stevie, last night, you were so deep in the pocket, it was beautiful." So that was the coolest thing for Flea to say that, because he’s like the greatest bass player in the world."

Jack Irons & Cliff Martinez to perform with RHCP at Hall of Fame Induction!“I think we’re going to play three songs,” drummer Chad Smith revealed in a late-March phone interview with DRUM! Magazine. “I don’t know which songs exactly we’re going to do. I think we might do ‘Give It Away’ because there’s two other drummers, Jack Irons and Cliff Martinez, that are going to be attending. So we’ll get three drummers on one song.”
