Anthony Kiedis had a dream the other night…
The 49-year-old frontman of the Red Hot Chili Peppers imagined that he was playing at this year’s Rock and Rock Hall of Fame induction ceremony, and the band’s on-again, off-again guitarist John Frusciante was sitting in the front row.
Kiedis is quick to note that this vision won’t become a reality when the 29-year-old group is actually inducted Saturday. “No,” Kiedis said in a hushed tone during a break from rehearsing at SIR Studios last month. “That was just a dream.”

Speaking in a new article published on Apr 10th, 2012, Chad Smith said, “We invited George to come. When he shows up it’s always a jam and always a party. Jack Irons & Cliff Martinez to perform with RHCP at Hall of Fame Induction!
“I think we’re going to play three songs,” drummer Chad Smith revealed in a late-March phone interview with DRUM! Magazine. “I don’t know which songs exactly we’re going to do. I think we might do ‘Give It Away’ because there’s two other drummers, Jack Irons and Cliff Martinez, that are going to be attending. So we’ll get three drummers on one song.”
